NRCS is developing two training courses on digital soil mapping. Details of these courses, including logistics information, will be announced soon.

Digital Soil Mapping I: Fundamentals. Under development and to be delivered by Purdue University via distance learning during the 2011 Spring semester.

Digital Soil Mapping II: Processes with ArcSIE. DSM I will be a prerequisite. Dr. Xun Shi of Dartmouth College along with a group of NRCS soil scientists will deliver the pilot session in a classroom setting in February or March.
