NRCS ArcSIE Training 2016 Was Held in Amherst, MA, March 15-17

Only seven months since last one in August, we had another training session. Fourteen NRCS soil scientists from Florida, Idaho, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Oregon, California, Puerto Rico, Colorado, and Massachusetts participated in this session. The modules of this session remained the same as those in August.

This group is full of active thinkers and we enjoyed enthusiastic discussions, which are beneficial to both the participants and cadre. We were also pleased to learn that ArcSIE had been effectively applied to production projects in different regions of the country.

Again, we want to thank Professor Qian Yu at the Department of Geosciences and staff at the Computer Lab of UMass-Amherst, who provided great help to facilitate the training in the past several years.
